Tired Of Gym No Problem There Are Fun Ways To Exercise

What do you think of when you hear the term “physical activity”? Most people think of strenuous exercises and gym memberships. We would all like physical activity to be easy and fun. I too don’t like visits to a gym and long and boring cardio workouts because I already know what’s there and it’s hard to get motivated enough for another workout. Before you try to motivate yourself for another gym session, maybe you should consider some fun ways to exercise and besides that, you need to pay attention to these best weight loss pills as well. This will help you get to achieve your body goals in a short amount of time.

You should start looking at exercising not only as repetitive movements on the exercise equipment, or lifting heavyweights. We exercise because we want to increase our level of physical activity. But let’s not forget what physical activity is. The simplest definition is the movement of the body that uses energy. Of course, the more vigorous physical activity is, the more energy or calories you burn. If you are on a closely balanced diet and exercise regime, you know exactly how many calories you need to spend with the specific exercise routine. However, during those days that you just cannot think of yourself going to a gym, you can spend calories with more fun ways of exercising.

The first thing that comes to my mind when thinking of different ways to exercise are household activities. There are many household activities that burn calories while doing them, like cleaning, vacuuming, and gardening. Cleaning windows for 30 minutes burns about 130 calories. The same amount of calories is spent on a treadmill for 30 minutes if you walk one mile in 20 minutes. Vacuuming for 30 minutes burns another 90 calories. It is the same amount you spend on a stationary bike for 10 minutes at a moderate pace.

While household activities are not always considered fun, it is a good way to break the monotony of the regular gym routines. However, physical activities in the form of various sports are the best way to have fun and work out at the same moment. There are hundreds of sports that can increase your heart rate in a moment and work out the entire body. You should pick the one that suits you best and have preferences for. Who knows, you might even like it so much that you will abandon the gym for good. Here is the list of some common sports and the amount of calories spent if played for 60 minutes:

– Baseball – 450 calories

– Basketball – 690 calories

– Bowling – 270 calories

– Football – 770 calories

– Golf – 400 calories

– Hockey – 720 calories

– Skateboarding – 950 calories

– Soccer – 630 calories

– Swimming (leisure) – 540 calories

This is just a shortlist of sports and if these are not the ones you like, look around the Internet, I’m sure you will find something for yourself. If you are more of a stay-at-home guy, then just buy yourself a video game console. All major consoles today have add-ons that include playing with body movements that simulate boxing, tennis, bowling, and other common sports. For instance, 15 minutes of boxing on a game console spends 125 calories, bowling spends 77, etc. Playing video games sounds like fun to me.
